ODDball 2025: A Day of Fun and Friendly Competition

Huron High School students brought their competitive spirit to ODDball 2025 today, participating in a series of entertaining and unconventional challenges that had the entire school buzzing with excitement.
Students from all four grade levels—freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors—signed up to represent their class in five unique games designed to test creativity, speed, and teamwork. The competition kicked off with String Cups, where students raced to blow red cups across strings stretched across the gym. From there, the action continued with a lively round of musical chairs that had participants and spectators alike on the edge of their seats.
The Mattress Slide brought teams of four from each grade together for a challenge that combined strategy and coordination, while the Cardboard Box Stack tested who could build the fastest tower from seven or eight boxes. The day concluded with an energetic game of Hula Hoop Rock Paper Scissors that brought cheers from the crowd.
ODDball events like these are more than just fun—they build school spirit, encourage students to step outside their comfort zones, and create lasting memories. The energy in the gym was electric as classmates cheered each other on and celebrated their peers' efforts.
Thank you to all the students who participated and to the staff members who organized this fantastic event. Events like ODDball remind us why Huron High School is such a special place to learn and grow.
Class spirit was on full display, and we can't wait to see what next year's ODDball brings!
