Future Fair Helps Juniors and Seniors Plan Their Path

On Tuesday, October 29th, Huron High School hosted its annual Future Fair, giving junior and senior students the opportunity to explore their post-graduation options and connect with representatives from over 40 colleges, universities, career training programs, and military branches.
From 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the school came alive with possibilities as students engaged with recruiters, asked questions, and gathered information about their futures. Junior and senior students attended with their 7th or 8th period classes, while those with open periods were encouraged to stop by anytime during the fair.
The diverse range of exhibitors ensured that every student could find pathways aligned with their interests and goals. Among the colleges and universities represented were Bowling Green State University, Miami University, The Ohio State University, University of Toledo, and many others from across the state and region. Students interested in career training and trade unions had the chance to speak with representatives from Sandusky Career Center Adult Education, Ohio Means Jobs, Central Midwest Carpenters Union, Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee, and more.
For students considering military service, all branches were present, including the U.S. Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and both the Ohio Army National Guard and Air National Guard.
"Events like the Future Fair are invaluable," said [Counselor/Administrator Name]. "They give our students the chance to explore different paths, ask questions in a low-pressure environment, and start making informed decisions about their futures."
The fair provided students with more than just brochures and business cards—it offered real conversations, genuine connections, and the opportunity to envision what life after high school could look like.
Thank you to all the exhibitors who took time out of their day to invest in our students' futures, and to our guidance department and staff for organizing such a valuable event. We're proud of our juniors and seniors for taking this important step in planning their next chapter.
The future is bright for Huron High School students, and the Future Fair helped light the way!
